We got to enjoy so many wonderful times with Nana, Papa, and Uncle John Conger when they came for a long weekend visit!!!
In Minnesota they have a weekend every year called MEA Weekend (Minnesota Educators Association). It's the perfect long weekend for a visit from grandparents! We started out relaxing at home when they got in Thursday afternoon. Nana got to take Ava to preschool and meet her teacher and friends. It was very special for Ava to get to show off her classroom and her special chair. Papa and Uncle John got to pick Ava up and see all of her special things too. Our precious girl was so excited to be able to share this with her Nana and Papa! That night we got to have Nana's World Famous Manicotti! Seriously, it's the best! We finished up the night with lots of playing and giggles before the girls had to turn in. It was a struggle to get them to go to sleep, but in the end they did. Julia actually slept through the night! I think it must have been all of her playing with Papa that wore her out.
Friday morning Papa went to work with CJ (Daddy) while Nana, Uncle John, and the girls and I did a little shopping. Nana did a lot of spoiling and was very generous in her gifts! Thank you! We then went to Samaritan Ministries to have lunch with Daddy and Papa. After lunch we went to Hobby Lobby, one of Mommy's favorite stores and probably Nana's too. We were there for quite a while but the boys were good sports and kept the girls really entertained, not too hard to do in Hobby Lobby. We then cruised on over to Bass Pro Shop! We didn't stay nearly as long but everyone had tons of fun!! The huge aquarium was a big hit and of course the mass amount of stuff was sure to keep everyone entertained. We finished up the day with cream cheese chicken, pumpkin carving, and a much needed date night for mommy and daddy!
Saturday afternoon we had to say goodbye until next time. It was sad to see them go, but we are so very thankful for the memories we got to make.
